PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside awards yearly college scholarships to graduating Eastside high school LGBTQ and ally students, including those enrolled in the Running Start at a local community college. Our scholarship enrollment is now open. If you are an educator, a member of a GSA, or someone who wants to help spread the word, feel free to download our flyer and post it in appropriate place.
Scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated their ability to support PFLAG’s vision of a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
The application process is through the Pride Foundation. As a result, when you submit your competed form, you are not only eligible for consideration of the PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside scholarship but also are automatically considered for a Pride Foundation scholarship as well, all through a single application.
Here is how the application process works.
- Fill out the Pride Foundation application form.
- PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside’s scholarship committee will carefully review your application.
- If you are a finalist, you will be notified by email and asked to meet with the committee for an interview.
- The scholarship is traditionally awarded in late spring at our monthly PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside meeting, followed by cake and celebration.
